1 Or concernant la collecte pour les saints, faites comme j’en ai donné l’ordre aux églises de Galatie, oui certainement.

 1 Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye.

2 Au premier jour de la semaine que chacun de vous, de lui-même, mette de côté, selon ce que Dieu l’a fait prospéré, afin qu’il n’y ait pas de collectes lorsque je viendrai.

 2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.

3 Et lorsque je serai arrivé, quiconque vous approuverez par vos lettres, je les enverrai pour porter votre libéralité à Jérusalem.

 3 And when I come, whomsoever ye shall approve by your letters, them will I send to bring your liberality unto Jerusalem.

4 Et s’il convient que j’y aille aussi, ils iront avec moi.

 4 And if it be meet that I go also, they shall go with me.

5 Je viendrai donc à vous, après que j’aurai traversé la Macédoine: car je dois traverser la Macédoine.

 5 Now I will come unto you, when I shall pass through Macedonia: for I do pass through Macedonia.

6 Et il se peut que je demeurerai, oui, et que je passerai l’hiver avec vous, afin que vous puissiez me conduire au cours de mon voyage partout où j’irai.

 6 And it may be that I will abide, yea, and winter with you, that ye may bring me on my journey whithersoever I go.

7 Car je ne vous verrai pas maintenant en passant; mais je compte rester avec vous quelque temps, si le Seigneur le permet.

 7 For I will not see you now by the way; but I trust to tarry a while with you, if the Lord permit.

8 Mais je resterai à Éphèse jusqu’à la Pentecôte.

 8 But I will tarry at Ephesus until Pentecost.

9 Car une porte grande et efficace m’est ouverte, et il y a beaucoup d’adversaires.

 9 For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.

10 Or si Timothée vient, voyez à ce qu’il puisse être parmi vous sans crainte: car il travaille à l’œuvre du Seigneur comme je fais aussi.

 10 Now if Timotheus come, see that he may be with you without fear: for he worketh the work of the Lord, as I also do.

11 Ne laissez alors aucun homme le mépriser: mais conduisez-le en paix, afin qu’il puisse venir à moi: car je l’attends avec les frères.

 11 Let no man therefore despise him: but conduct him forth in peace, that he may come unto me: for I look for him with the brethren.

12 Quant à ce qui touche notre frère Apollos, j’ai grandement désiré qu’il vienne à vous avec les frères: mais sa volonté n’était pas du tout de venir à présent; mais il viendra lorsqu’il trouvera le moment opportun.

 12 As touching our brother Apollos, I greatly desired him to come unto you with the brethren: but his will was not at all to come at this time; but he will come when he shall have convenient time.

13 Veillez, tenez fermes dans la foi, comportez-vous comme des hommes, soyez forts.

 13 Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.

14 Que toutes vos choses soient faites avec charité.

 14 Let all your things be done with charity.

15 Je vous implore, frères (vous connaissez la maison de Stéphanas, qu’elle constitue les premiers fruits de l’Achaïe, et qu’ils se sont adonnés au service des saints),

 15 I beseech you, brethren, (ye know the house of Stephanas, that it is the firstfruits of Achaia, and that they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints,)

16 Que vous vous soumettiez à de tels hommes, et à chacun qui aide et peine avec nous.

 16 That ye submit yourselves unto such, and to every one that helpeth with us, and laboureth.

17 Je suis content de la venue de Stéphanas, et de Fortunatus et d’Achaïe: car à ce qui manquait de votre part ils ont suppléé.

 17 I am glad of the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus: for that which was lacking on your part they have supplied.

18 Car ils ont revigoré mon esprit et le vôtre: par conséquent, ayez de la reconnaissance envers de tels hommes.

 18 For they have refreshed my spirit and yours: therefore acknowledge ye them that are such.

19 Les églises d’Asie vous saluent. Aquilas et Priscille vous saluent bien dans le Seigneur, ainsi que l’église qui est dans leur maison.

 19 The churches of Asia salute you. Aquila and Priscilla salute you much in the Lord, with the church that is in their house.

20 Tous les frères vous saluent. Saluez-vous les uns les autres par un saint baiser.

 20 All the brethren greet you. Greet ye one another with an holy kiss.

21 La salutation de moi Paul, de ma propre main.

 21 The salutation of me Paul with mine own hand.

22 Si quelqu’un n’aime pas le Seigneur Jésus Christ, qu’il soit Anathème Maranatha.

 22 If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha.

23 La grâce de notre Seigneur Jésus Christ soit avec vous.

 23 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

24 Mon amour est avec vous tous en Christ Jésus. Amen.

 24 My love be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen.

 The first epistle to the Corinthians was written from Philippi by Stephanas, and Fortunatus, and Achaicus, and Timotheus.
